Tone and Volume...
Both without Compromise.
Every guitar I have ever fallen in Love with—that I just couldn’t put down—was lightly constructed. No laminated sides or backs. No massive internal stiffening structures. Just wood. Perfectly thinned out to be free to vibrate—shaking me, and in turn, my Heart...
This is how a Cooper Guitar is made.

"I came across a Cooper’s Guitar through the recommendation of my Professor Nicholas Goluses. When I managed to test one, I was amazed by how it was powerful and loud and yet I was able to keep my sweet tone and bring out every nuance in my pieces. The process of buying the guitar and being part of the process when it was being build was both fulfilling and rewarding. Jeremy explained to me everything thoroughly in a manner I could understand and adapted some of his building to my unique playing style. I am convinced that this has been the greatest investment I have ever done."

"My Cooper is everything I look for in a guitar. It’s expressive, loud, balanced, plays effortlessly, and is gorgeous to look at. It’s a true quality concert instrument that’s a joy to play."
Dr. David Sewell

My return to tradition. Inspired by the likes of Torres and Hernandez.
Reborn out of the exacting construction techniques, methodical processes, and a great many other lessons garnered from 15 years of focusing exclusively on double-top guitar design and construction.
It is my ultimate goal now to build a traditional solid top that rivals the finest double-tops in the world, and my introduction of this model marks the start of this new journey.
Starting at $8000
My version of the Nomex-core (honeycomb-fiber core) inspired by fellow guitar makers, Gernot Wagner's and Matthias Dammann's groundbreaking work.
Extreme volume with a clear, articulate, balanced voice. Perfect for the concert hall, as well as the budding or consummate performer.

I first learned of the Assad Brothers through a different world than one might expect. Before I was a guitar maker, I was a dancer of Argentine Tango. The Assad’s album of Piazzolla’s music found me through that community. It was 2001 and the same year I built my first guitar.
Back then I could never have imagined that someday they would both be performing on my guitars.
It wasn't until 2005 that I discovered, to my delight, that they come to my home town of Tucson to teach as artists in residence at the University of Arizona every year. That year on Easter day, I met them for the first time as they were giving a master class. I let them borrow my latest guitar and the next day in the green room behind the concert hall, after their concert, Odair ordered his first of what has now grown to be three Coopers.
In 2021, Sergio, on his own (due to the COVID-19 pandemic) came to Tucson. He had been teaching on UA Guitar professor, Tom Patterson’s Cooper. Sergio told me it was the most powerful guitar he had ever played "that still sounded like a guitar." Subsequently, he and his brother both ordered guitars on the condition that they were as good as Tom’s. Sergio was happily amazed, and said they were both better. That they were both simply "magic!"
This model sports the same design features as the two guitars built for the illustrious brothers back in 2022. A Balsa-core double-top as well as a mahogany neck with elevated, African Blackwood fingerboard (for more density to drive more string energy into the soundboard, giving the guitar more sustain) and V-jointed head.

My Zenith.
This new model is culmination of everything I have learned over the last 20 years of building, 15 of double-tops with the last six years being all balsa core tops.
This design employs a radial-pattern balsa-core mixed with Nomex honeycomb fiber for the perfect balance between lightness and stiffness, resulting in an instrument of unmatched quality with growling, explosive bases and little angels singing in the trebles.
Includes a mahogany neck with elevated, African Blackwood fingerboard and V-jointed Heavy Head option for more density to drive more string energy into the soundboard for more sustain.
Some woods, tuners, cases, and other options may have an additional charge and may require an additional deposit.
Prices do not include packing and shipping. I use 1 or 2 day USPS in the continental U.S. with insurance. International shipping is available and may have additional costs.
I look forward to building you a beautiful instrument that will delight you for many years to come.
